Center for the Arts

Day Program

TERI’s Center for the Arts program is designed for adults who have an interest in the cultural arts and enrichment. Based at the TERI Campus of Life, we offer a wide range of experiences including fine arts, music, and performing arts spaces alongside fitness and wellness activities in a beautiful, natural environment amid the rolling hills of San Marcos, California.

Program Options

The Center for the Arts program supports participants with two types of options:

Enrichment Support Services

To qualify for participation in TERI's Center for the Arts program, an individual must be able to be supported in a 1:4 staff to participant ratio.

Behavior Support Services

To qualify for behavior support services in the Center for the Arts program, individuals must be able to be supported in a 1:3 staff to participant ratio.

People served by this program must be over 18 years of age.

Consideration for prospective participants will be given to those individuals who are developmentally disabled with a primary diagnosis of:

  • 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆

  • 𝗗𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿

  • 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗺

  • 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝘀𝘆

  • 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.

TERI can serve participants with the following special needs:

  • 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲: including the need for assistance with toileting, eating, self-medication, grooming, and personal hygiene. Individuals who are incontinent will be accepted.

  • 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹/𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀: including participants who are non-ambulatory as well as those with epilepsy, blindness, deafness and those who are non-verbal. Participants with ongoing special medical or physical needs will be considered on a case-by-case basis within the confines of our licensing category.
