Residential  Services

TERI provides nurturing long-term living and housing solutions for our adults with special needs. TERI currently supports 13 modern, well-maintained homes for more than 70 adults and seniors, located throughout North San Diego County in secure neighborhoods. Our priority is providing safety, well-being, personal development, and a lifetime of care for your loved ones. Each resident receives an individualized, ongoing plan for adapting to and conquering life's challenges, and then we create cohesive groups of adults with common interests and compatibilities. This ensures the creation of a family unit that thrives across each person’s lifespan. TERI’s commitment to a lifetime of continuity of care is paramount. Some of our original residents have been thriving housemates for over 40 years! TERI has retrofitted several residences to overcome ambulatory impairments, installed ADA supportive equipment, and provided trained staff while offering access to 24-hour nursing care, including hospice. The State of California licenses each group home for a particular level of physical and developmental need. These homes are classified as Intermediate Healthcare Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled– Habilitative (ICF-DDH). TERI Residential Homes are licensed residential health facilities in California that provide 24-hour care and supervision to people with developmental disabilities who need active habilitation services but 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗻𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲. For those special needs adults who may have conditions that cannot be supported in an ICF-DDH home, TERI also offers qualified applicants a Supported Living Services (SLS) option at a single-family home (Will’s House) near the Campus of Life in San Marcos. To qualify for an SLS home, the applicant must have an assessed need for ongoing, customized support to live safely and independently in a home of their choosing with person-centered supports funded by San Diego Regional Center.
